20 river

Tequesta, FL
Completion: 2014
Area: 4,000 Under Air / 5,600 Total
Scope: Design

Set along serene riverfront views with both open water and privacy, this extreme remodel reimagines the existing footprint as three interconnected structures, forming a compound of modest-scale buildings that respect the neighborhood context. The design centers on a grand gathering space with kitchen, living, and dining areas, complemented by an upstairs loft serving as a family office that maintains privacy while staying visually connected to the home’s activities.

Outdoor living is emphasized through covered terraces, sunlit balconies, and poolside entertaining areas, with a seamless connection from the house to the river. The material palette—natural coquina stone, white stucco, and white hardwood accents—reinforcesthe home’s coastal character and refined aesthetic.
